I became a broker in 2009 because I grew up on the other side of the business.  My family owned a franchise, and I was working in it by the time I was twelve. I watched how large agencies treated small business - assume they'll renew, do the minimum, move on. When something went wrong, nobody showed up. That experience shaped everything about how I work today. At Strata Shield, we do two things most brokers treat separately: employee benefits and commercial insurance. What that looks like in practice: a real person answers when you call. Your employees can call us too. When a claim stalls or a renewal doesn't look right, we handle it. I've spent nearly two decades building relationships with employers who deserve better service than they've been getting. Most of my clients have been with me for years. Jonathan joined Strata Shield in 2025, bringing a perspective that's harder to teach than any license. He's been a business owner himself.  He grew up in a family business, getting paid by the job before most kids had a paper route. He studied electrical engineering at Cal Poly, and whether he's solving a technical problem or untangling a benefits question, the approach is the same: he looks at it differently than most people would, and he doesn't stop until it's figured out.  He brings the same build-it-from-scratch thinking to every client situation. If the standard solution doesn't fit, he'll find one that does.  Outside the office, he's a husband, brother, son, and uncle who'd rather be with the people he loves than anywhere else.
